Priceline Hotel: 4* NYC (Downtown-SoHo-Financial District) W Downtown New York

Started at $135 and bid up to $170/night for almost every single area of NYC for 3* hotels and up... (All combinations, re-bid zones, etc...)

Does anyone know if it's to my disadvantage to be bidding a few months early? Would it be better to wait for a couple of months to bid? Would I have a better chance of having my bid accepted closer to the time of travel?

All help is appreciated!

Thank you!

After MANY days of bidding on tons of areas and prices, we finally got the W New York Downtown for $200/night.

More than I wanted to spend but still a good price considering this hotel is going for $399/nt on those same dates!

yankeegirl125,

Congratulations on your success!

gorp512,

Rates are date specific, so a win for December may have very little to do with what it will take to win for your own hotel stay in September. If you're willing to include the Downtown zone in your bidding please add a reply stating so to your current NYC thread.

Thanks.
