my.zabbott Posted August 30, 2011 Report Posted August 30, 2011 I would like to book a stay at the chelsea hotel off-season for a weekend night (friday or saturday, but preferably saturday). I had booked a room there through name your own price (and the links on this site) and found it to be lovely. Unfortunately, I was so busy at the convention center that stay that I only had seven hours to enjoy it (and I was sleeping for most of those).I've read through this forum that the chelsea is the most likely to come up through name your own price, but I mainly see weeknight successful booking. Does anyone have any suggestions for weekend booking? I know I probably won't be able to get the fabulous $60 deal I got before, but does anyone have an idea of what ballpark I should expect to bid/pay? Is there a month/weekend I should look out for for cheaper rates? Any advice is appreciated.

If you're trying to target a specific property HOTWIRE is usually a better, although slightly more expensive, option. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... and your searches too!Let us know how you'd like to proceed and we'll advise accordingly. I was hoping people might be able to chime in with what months are better for lower prices or if there's an event some weekend that I should avoid trying for.Glad the board was helpful and thank you for using the PRICELINE links here, but it would also would be appreciated if you shared your win(s) with the board so that others can benefit from the information, just as you had benefited from those who posted before you.I will now, I only registered yesterday and haven't posted all the winning bids I've booked through this site. When you bid on PRICELINE you have to be able to accept any hotel at the star rating, or higher, that you choose to bid... there is no telling if the Chelsea Hotel would be the most likely outcome for your particular dates. Do we know if any of the hotwire rooms are for the chelsea tower? Because if it ends up being close in price (name your own vs. opaque hotwire), I may just book through HOTWIRE.
