MegaMan Posted June 13, 2012 Report Posted June 13, 2012 Hello, looking to book an hotel in September, 14th through the 16th. Budget right now is about $150 a night and was hoping for a 5 star hotel but nothing in that range right now.Best deal so far is this hotel for $1114* Strip NorthAmmenities include:ResortCasinoFitness CenterPoolRestaurantBusiness CenterHigh-Speed Internet AccessGolf NearbyTennis NearbySpa ServicesAccessible for the BlindAccessubke for the deafFree ParkingAccessible path of travelIn-room accessibilityAccessible bathroomHandicapped ParkingRoll-in showerLooking at the list it looks like either The Mirage or Treasure Island. I'm not sure how you guys figure it out between those two lol. Also what is the ideal time to book an hotel for the best deals? I'm thinking I'm a bit early for September deals. Thanks in advance!
thereuare Posted June 13, 2012 Report Posted June 13, 2012 Please keep all posts for the same stay in the same thread. As far as 'when to bid' see the related "Bid Early or Close to Check-in" link in our PRICELINE FAQ.If you're going to be holding out for a 5* hotel, please wait until you're ready to commit to lower your star rating before asking for hotel identifications... the hotels offered at this time will not likely be the same ones offered once you're willing to commit to a non-refundable purchase. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Thanks. MegaMan Posted June 13, 2012 Author Report Posted June 13, 2012 Well the first couple of posts were for a stay last year, thought they were both in September. Don't need a 5 start but we want a suite with a living room. Anyway to gun for that?I'd assume all the 5 stars are suites but what about the 4 stars?
thereuare Posted June 14, 2012 Report Posted June 14, 2012 Well the first couple of posts were for a stay last year...I must have been confused since that thread never had a resolution/conclusion. :(I have move your posts from last year to this Hotwire Las Vegas thread... please follow-up there whatever you decided to do for that trip, then click each of these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links and reply to this thread, we'll further comment on your trip above. Please remember to follow-up your threads with whatever you end up doing for the stay, even if you choose to book direct, cancel your trip, etc. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Thanks. MegaMan Posted June 15, 2012 Author Report Posted June 15, 2012 Based on new information, we're now looking for a suite (probably will be 6 of us). 5 stars are our best bets for suites. Found a room for $179 at a 5 star in The Strip- NorthAmenities:ResortSuiteCasinoFitness CenterPoolRestaurantsBusiness CenterHigh-Speed Internet AccessGolf NearbyTennis NearbySpa ServicesAccessible for the blind/deafFree ParkingAccessible path of travelIn-room accessibilityAccessible bathroomHandicapped ParkingRoll-in showerGuessing the Wynn/EncoreWhat would be a good deal on Priceline for a similar hotel?
thereuare Posted June 15, 2012 Report Posted June 15, 2012 5 stars are our best bets for suites... What would be a good deal on Priceline for a similar hotel?Similar in what way? If you're looking for a 5* hotel in the Strip North zone you can bid on PRICELINE for it... but if you're specifically looking for a Suite that is not possible. As well, even though the Venetian and Palazzo rooms are defined as 'suites', and the Wynn and Encore are oversized (and depending who you ask some might call them suites)... they're still single room hotel rooms and not designed for six people and your room will still only be guaranteed for double occupancy. While a 5* hotel in the North Strip may give you the best chance for a 'larger than normal' room, it also gives you the best chance of landing a hotel that charges more for two beds in the room and/or more for any number of guests over two... so it's a double edged sword.Let us know how you'd like to proceed and we'll take it from there. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. MegaMan Posted June 18, 2012 Author Report Posted June 18, 2012 Hmm. Well we're gunning for a suite (4-5 star rating) as we want a place to watch the boxing fights. Don't mind risking getting a single bed to get a suite.
thereuare Posted June 18, 2012 Report Posted June 18, 2012 The Venetian or Palazzo would be my best guess for the property above. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help.
