glorglor Posted June 7, 2005 Report Posted June 7, 2005 Hi, I was wondering if anyone can give me some hints on how to bid on priceline for 5* or 4* hotel on the vegas strip on Jul 15th -18th. What's the best price to bid for it?? my budget is about 100-130 per night. thanks so much
thereuare Posted June 7, 2005 Report Posted June 7, 2005 How about the Luxor or the Monte Carlo for about $135?The above is the best i can find right now unless you are willing to SPLIT YOUR BID. thereuare Posted June 8, 2005 Report Posted June 8, 2005 ...on the vegas strip on Jul 15th -18thPlease clarify your check-in/check-out dates.... the above appears to be a 3 nite stay. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
glorglor Posted June 9, 2005 Author Report Posted June 9, 2005 Hihi, thanks for your quick reply...i am thinking of going to vegas on the 15th and leaving on the 18th .... i really want to stay at the venetian... do u think that's possible for that price range??? or only for 2 nights?thanks
thereuare Posted June 9, 2005 Report Posted June 9, 2005 Who said that you'd be successful for 2 nites at your price range for the Venetian? Based upon current prices i think you only have a chance at being successful for one of your three nites at $135 and under. glorglor Posted June 9, 2005 Author Report Posted June 9, 2005 o errr ok... well.... can u help me with a strategy for booking a 4 or 5* hotel in vegas on 15th -18th july. thanks so much
thereuare Posted June 9, 2005 Report Posted June 9, 2005 This is what i would do...Book either of the following for 7/15-7/17:Bally's: $149/nite(or for a little higher grade in quality, but go over your $135/nite budget):Treasure Island: $170/nite (use this link if you go this route)Both of the above should be fully cancellable up to 3 days before check-in date.Once you have either of the above secured, try bidding on Priceline at the 5* level for the nite 7/18:Select 5* Las Vegas Strip and bid $99.Once successful for the Priceilne bid, you can then try to do better via the opaque services for the first two nites of your stay.Let us know if you have any questions and how it goes. glorglor Posted June 10, 2005 Author Report Posted June 10, 2005 Hi ... i started bidding for $99 for 5* on priceline... but didn't get anything... i was wondering if u knew which are the 4* hotels on priceline and how much are they generally. checkin dates are still 15th -18th... thanks
thereuare Posted June 10, 2005 Report Posted June 10, 2005 Was your Priceline bid for the entire stay or just the last nite? Did you book any of the selections above as a back-up for the first two nites? (if so, which one) Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
glorglor Posted June 13, 2005 Author Report Posted June 13, 2005 thank you so much for all your help... i got the venetian for $100 per night on the 17/7 -19/7 however i need one more night... from the 16/7-17/7 ... i hope i can get the venetian... i tried on priceline and have been unsuccessful... do u know of any other sites or programs that i can book and may get a good price thanks
thereuare Posted June 13, 2005 Report Posted June 13, 2005 Congratulations on your win.Direct rates are $299/nite... so i don't think you're going to get close to a price that you are looking for (if i'm wrong, let us know what you consider to be a 'good price').If you'd like help with this remaining nite of your stay please start a new thread.
