thereuare Posted August 28, 2011 Report Posted August 28, 2011 Welcome to BetterBidding! You might get something near the very top of your budget, but before bidding... are you ok if you were to land a very small room (like the Hudson Hotel) or up to a 15 minute walk to the subway? Are all of the following zones acceptable:CPS, Chelsea, ESB, HK, MSG, MTE, MTW, TSLet us know the above and we'll take it from there. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Donaholya Posted August 30, 2011 Author Report Posted August 30, 2011 All of these zones are acceptableBut we would like to keep subway distance as minimal as possiblewe thought of splitting up the 4 nights into 2 different stays to make the bidding easier. is it right thinking?thanks
thereuare Posted August 31, 2011 Report Posted August 31, 2011 But we would like to keep subway distance as minimal as possibleIs 15 minutes acceptable? If not, then you'll likely need to eliminate MTE from your bidding above.I'm assuming a small room is ok?In theory SPLITTING YOUR PRICELINE BID would help, but i don't think it will necessarily help given the research i've done for these dates, as demand is so high that you may have minimum nite stays in effect... by splitting 9/16-9/18 shouldn't be too much of a problem, but 9/14-9/16 might be come increasingly more difficult. If it were me i would first try for your complete stay up to your limit, then if rejected, try for 9/14-9/16 first (and don't purchase anything for 9/16-9/18 until you have a confirmed reservation for 9/14-9/16).Let us know how you'd like to proceed (re: MTE, small rooms, and trying for the complete stay first or splitting the bid first) and we'll advise accordingly. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
