mokabougaa Posted August 28, 2011 Report Posted August 28, 2011 hi guys,I'm trying to book a hotel in Montreal downtown ,and trying to use the tips for Rebidding but it said this is a duplicate request.what I did ,I select first Zone A&B for 4* hotels bid was failed and then I added zone C that has no 4* got declined ,when I tried to bid for AB 4* again it said duplicate req.Any help pleasssssssssssssssse
thereuare Posted August 28, 2011 Report Posted August 28, 2011 I select first Zone A&B... when I tried to bid for AB 4* again it said duplicate req. Please re-post, using the PRICELINE zone names, rather than ZoneA, ZoneB, ZoneC, etc. As posted, it does appear that you're making a duplicate bid.At the 4* level you have THREE re-bid zones. If you're confused, try and post the results of the following:1) Use the PRICELINE search box on the upper right of this page, enter Montreal, Canada and your dates, and click "GO".2) List each zone that is offered in this region. 3) Next to each zone list the highest star rating offered in the zone. The way to determine the highest star rating offered in the zone is by selecting the first zone i the list, then scrolling down to see the highest star rating selectable (ie- not greyed out). NEXT UNcheck the selected zone, place a checkmark in the next zone, and repeat the process for each zone in the region. Each time you take note of the highest star rating in the zone, make sure that only ONE zone is selected above.4) post your findings and we'll take it from thereIf you don't follow the above just post back and we'll break it down further. What are the date(s) of your stay and the amount of the bids you made? What is your maximum bid for this stay? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. mokabougaa Posted August 28, 2011 Author Report Posted August 28, 2011 Hi thereuare ,My dates are 09/02 to 09/05 maximimum bid for 4* downtown was $115 the zones are :1 Convention Center - Old Montreal - 4* 2 Dorval Airport Area (YUL) – 4* 3 Downtown - City Center – 4*4 Laval – 3* 5 Longueuil - Boucherville – 3* 6 Pointe Claire – 3* Thanks in advance for your help
thereuare Posted August 29, 2011 Report Posted August 29, 2011 Do you see how if you were to bid 4* and select Downtown and Laval and were successful, that the hotel would have to be Downtown (since there are no hotels in Laval rated higher than 3 stars)? So do you see which THREE zones are your re-bid zones? Please confirm and we'll take the next step (or explain further)Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. mokabougaa Posted August 29, 2011 Author Report Posted August 29, 2011 Yes I understand this concept ,but when I add a rebid zone and go back to place another bid for downtown the system said its duplicated request.I'm doing some thing wrong
thereuare Posted August 29, 2011 Report Posted August 29, 2011 Do you recall exactly what you made as your first bid? What did you try to bid after that rejection? If that bid was submitted what did you add next? (again, please use the actaul PRICELINE zone names to describe your bid history to so we can correct any mistakes)Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
