LoneStar Posted June 7, 2005 Report Posted June 7, 2005 Got this property for some friends for last night for $50. Last minute, had only 2 free rebids. Hotwire showed a 3.5-star "distinctive hotel" with an "S" symbol for $65, so with sojourn's successful priceline bid it wasn't too hard to figure out the Sheraton Suites was "lurking." Bid first for $45, and got a message to add $13. Had I had 3 more days to bid, I probably would have next tried $47. But they needed the room so I bid $50, and it was accepted. FWIW, this hotel seems to have spotty inventory at this price level, so you really want to check hotwire first before bidding to get an idea of what's possible.
thereuare Posted June 7, 2005 Report Posted June 7, 2005 Thanks for the report... i split out the post and linked to the previous one above. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
lls138 Posted June 8, 2005 Report Posted June 8, 2005 I had my bachelor party there last year. The place is a true 3* airport hotel. Quite nice. They'll enjoy. Just hope they don't get the same room we had!!!!
LoneStar Posted June 10, 2005 Author Report Posted June 10, 2005 The report I got back was that it was a very nice property. I'm not surprised, because I've been quite satisfied by every Sheraton Suites I've stayed in. FWIW, I called in advance to see what the parking charge was, because the hotel's website said there was a charge. I was told $5. When my friends checked in, nobody tried to charge them for parking.
