David Kurtz
Have been working on Priceline for about a week to get a 2.5* or better hotel. As of Thursday I had bid as high as $60 plus an additional $6 reward bonus dollars using all zones and 2.5* or higher. No accepts. Called several hotels and confirmed that many hotels were booked. Must be a busy weekend in Toledo. I resorted to trying Travelocity's "Top Secret Hotel" and got a "3*" hotel for $54 per night with some extra fees.First time I've ever had Priceline let me down. Only negative here is Priceline calls the HI Express a 2.5* and Travelocity calls it a 3*. Either way a better price through Travelocity. Does Priceline price match anything? Link to comment
thereuare
Sorry you didn't get a successful bid this time around. You wouldn't be eligible for a price match for this stay since you didn't purchase anything thru PRICELINE.Can you please comment as far as the amenities that Travelocity associated with this property. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.... or our support page links for Travelocity and other online agencies and hotel chains.Thanks. David Kurtz
Travelocity called this property a 3* hotel that included non-smoking facilities, pool, free breakfast and free WIFI. All other information including review details were blocked. After having arrived at the hotel I'm pleased with this HI Express. Clean facility. Lots of freebies in the lobby upon check-in. Water bottles, coffee, fruit. They had a crib waiting in our room for our 2 year old. Left a rubber frog and HI Express bib in the crib for us to keep. Friendly staff, clean pool and hot tub area. Looking forward to free hot breakfast in a few hours. Satisfied with the property. Price was more than I usually pay through travel websites, but due to demand in the Toledo area I'm satisfied.
