I have stayed in many hotels around the world and i can say, without any doubt, that Hotel Sisdsi in Budapest rates as the most horrible hotel i have ever had the misfortune of staying in.

From the moment we arrived we were informed that the room we had requested was not available, when we informed them that we were told by the agency through which this hotel was booked they told us that was the agencies problem..we didn't book directly with the hotel.

And it gets better, we were then informed that we could not take anything to drink to the room that was not purchsed from the hotel, we purchsed coffee in the so called garden and wanted to drink it in the room in relative comfort and were informed that we were not allowed to take it. we had to drink it where we purchased it.

We had coffee and a cigarette again in the garden at around 10.30am and again by around 10.30pm that night and lo and behold..the ashtray we used in the morning was still on the table uncleaned, now that's service for you.

So....the advert of the hotel say that you have complimentary wireless internet in your room......well.....that is when it works...and when you complain to the front desk you are told ..well it works here ..just wait a while and maybe it'll work later.

Also....every room has TV ...yes....it has...one for mice....cos it is so small that you need a magnifying glass for itm and also, it is only for hungarian speaking people, because there are no programs in other languages!

It would appear that this establishment has lost sight of why it was built, i thought hotels were there to provide guests with a certain level of hospitality and welcoming so as to give their guest the desire to return, this hotel offers neither, it is there only to make as much money as possible with no thought given about guests returning in the future. Guest relations and customer service are non applicable at this establishment.

so....you might thing more than twice before you book a room at Sissi Hotel Budapest!!!
