Hotwire Hotel: Hotel Price Changes

am looking at 2 rooms in New Orleans downtown area 10/3 - 10/7. Should I wait to start looking for price reductions? Have seen what seems to be the same hotel (Sheraton) in Sept. for 20.00 less. thanks
