Wonderland Posted August 23, 2011 Report Posted August 23, 2011 HiI am looking for some help bidding on a 4* hotel in Dupont Circle - Woodley park area.I am looking for 3 rooms from the 20th Sep departing on the 23rd Sep.I have already placed 2 bids which have both been rejectedYesterday - 100 per room per nightToday - 120 per room per nightMy limit is 140 per room per night - is this unrealistic?? Other bidders have gotten rooms in these areas for 100 per night so any advice you can give would be most appreciated Thanks for your help
thereuare Posted August 24, 2011 Report Posted August 24, 2011 Welcome to BetterBidding!Rates are date specific, and rates for these particular dates are much higher then usual, and therefore will typically require a higher then usual bid to be accepted. What is the best available rate you're able to find at an acceptable hotel for these dates thru conventional booking channels? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Wonderland Posted August 24, 2011 Author Report Posted August 24, 2011 Thank you for coming back to me i have just looked at other sites and the prices range from 250 - 350, so I realise I will probably have to drop my star rating to a 3.
thereuare Posted August 25, 2011 Report Posted August 25, 2011 Is your limit still $140? You can certainly try, but my guess is that this may also likely fall short. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
