Just a heads up, I booked a 3* at the Holiday Inn Chicago Mart Plaza for $85 per night from Sept 28th-Oct 2nd using the PRICELINE link. During this busy time of the year I think that's an amazing deal. :)

Really nice deal for this Holiday Inn property during this time of year. I'll note that the river view rooms at this property are usually about $10 more expensive - may be worth asking if you're interested in a view whether you can pay the $10 difference.

You can call/contact the hotel in advance, or try asking at check-in. The difference between a non-view room regular rate and view room regular rate on the hotel website is $9.50 on your dates; I'd initially offer to pay the $9.50 ($199 vs. $208.50) and see what they say. If they quote a much higher fee ($20-25+) I'd say no.
