Priceline Hotel: 3* Miami Downtown Hyatt

Have never used priceline and trying to learn the ropes. Your expertise is appreciated! I am going in 8/3 for a cruise on 8/4. Looking to stay someplace nice, preferably downtown, for a reasonable price. Me and two 18 year old nephews. Won't have a car. Had seen a HI at Marina Park for $64 but was advised I could do better on PL. So...what is a good starting bid for downtown? 3* and $35 reasonable? Then add SW Miami Beach and up a buck or so? Then add N. Miami and add a buck or so? Then add Key Biscayne and a couple bucks? Thanks for your help!

I would proceed as follows:

3* Downtown Miami

-bid $27, if rejected add re-bid zone...

-bid $35, if rejected add re-bid zone...

-bid $40

Based upon the rates i'm seeing for your dates, i think the above should be successful. If not, report back and we'll give you another strategy to try in 72 hours.

PS- make sure you check off the correct zones for your re-bids, the SW Miami Beach you mention above is NOT a zone, there is a SW Miami zone and a SouthBeach zone, you want the one that does NOT any hotels at 3* or higher, which is the SW Miami zone in this example (likewise, you want North Miami, and NOT North Miami Beach)

Got the 3* Hyatt in Downtown Miami for $36/night, $46 includes tax. I really appreciate your help. I think I'm hooked!
