Hotwire Hotel: 4* Chicago (Mag Mile-Streeterville) Swissotel

I am seeing $145/night at a 4* North Michigan Ave Water Tower Gold Coast hotel from 9/2-9/4.

Amenities include:

- fitness centre

- restaurant

- business centre

- high speed internet

Any suggestions as to what this may be?

These amenities are common for a 4* hotel and this matches multiple properties... the Allerton Crowne Plaza, Millennium Knickerbocker, Omni Chicago, Sutton Place Hotel, The Avenue Crowne Plaza, The Drake Hotel, Westin Michigan Avenue, and the Whitehall have all been seen with this amenity set.

I'm also seeing a 4* in the Mag Mile/Streeterville zone for $123 w/Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Tennis, Spa - that would be a possible match for the Swiss, which would - I think, if it's the Swiss - be a better deal for a property more centrally located in the city as a whole.

Thank you for the reply - I also saw the swiss but was wondering if this one would be better. I will take your advice and book the $123. Will let you know if it's the Swiss (which I'm sure it is given a previous post)

One additional question - if I am not seeing a non-smoking icon, from your experience would I be able to get a non smoking room if I call and follow up? That is fairly important for me.

There is no guarantee of N/S without a N/S icon; the majority of the time, calling the hotel and requesting a N/S works well, but there have been occasional instances (especially during particularly busy dates) where people get stuck with a smoking room. If this is a problem and this happens, you could try calling HOTWIRE and see if they can get in contact with the hotel.

I just booked a 4* Magnificent Mile - Streeterville area hotel for $124 CDN/night from 9/2-9/4. it was the Swissotel as discovered in a previous post. Amenities include:

- fitness club

- pool

- restaurant

- Business centre

- High speed internet

- Tennis nearby

- Spa

For the price, this hotel seems to be very well situated. Reviews on Tripadvisor are quite positive. Thanks Better Bidding for your help.
