Hi all,

I am planning to go to Chicago between 16-25 sept (no fixed dates yet, as I still have to purchase my ticket), it could be be last minute work.

I would like to stay in the NMA zone. I have read all the advises, bidding strategies (thank you BetterBidding!), I am wondering though is it realistic to find a room in september with such a short notice for max $150 incl. taxes and fees? Or do I need to skip Chicago this time? I am a rookie when it comes to PL.

Thanks!

AM.

Welcome to Betterbidding. :)

Chicago in the Fall is expensive due to conventions, nicer weather and other factors (sort of similar in some ways to NYC seasonal traffic) - while there are a few slower patches, September and October are unusually more expensive months. Unfortunately, I do think $150 "all-in" (taxes/fees) is going to be difficult/unrealistic for these dates and may require more towards $135-160 + taxes/fees, depending which of these dates you are going. The first half of this period does appear moderately more expensive, but the entire period is pricey.
