Hotwire Hotel: 3* Vancouver (Downtown Entertainment District) Ramada Inn and Suites

I'm pleased with the results - my first hotwire bid - gulp. The hotel is the downtown Vancouver Ramada on Granville at Davie - stayed at the nearby Howard Johnsons last year and really liked the area - not quite as gentrified as the rest of the downtown area - still has some seedy charm - but is within walking distance of everything.

Has the following features:

free internet

Morrissey's Pub downstairs

in-room coffee and tea

flat screen tvs

newly renovated rooms

parking

pet friendly

Tried making bids on Priceline, and was advised I should bet at least $85 to get something in downtown Vancouver starting at 2 1/2 stars. At least with Hotwire I knew I'd be getting 3 stars (though other sites refer to the Ranada as 2 1/2) and knew the general area of the hotel.
