3ddd
Hi all. I have two things to share:I recently booked a cruise through Priceline and got a free night at a hotel. What they do is... several weeks before departure, they send you an email saying that you can now book the hotel. You follow the link and it takes you to a bidding page. This page shows you what Priceline is "throwing in" toward your stay. For mine, they threw in $70. So I bid $1.00 and won a four-star right next to the cruise terminal. I couldn't have been more pleased. In all, I had to pay $20 for some fee (taxes, I think), and I can walk to the ship. The other thing is that the hotel is the Marriott New Orleans Convention Center, which does not appear on the Priceline Map.Anyhow, if you are thinking about a cruise, shop around for the lowest price and then check the price on Priceline. If they match the lowest price (which I have found, they do) it's well worth booking through them to get the free-ish hotel. Good luck everyone! Link to comment

3ddd
According to Priceline and other sites, the Marriott New Orleans Convention Center is a 4* property. I will be staying there on 09/16/2011. (I booked a 5-day cruise, so I got a 1-night hotel stay.) Link to comment
