Priceline Hotel: help bid 4* Copley and 3.5*-4* Aquarium 9/14-9/18

I recently won a priceline bid at the Westin Copley and now everyone in my town is my new best friend. One of my BFs would like to bid on the Copley area (preferably get the Westin) for 9/14-9/16 and then change hotels (their choice) and bid on the Aquarium/harbor front/long wharf 3.5*-4* (targeting the Marriott which is a 3.5*). Any suggestions out there as far as opening bid? I've looked at Priceline and Hotwire Calendar of Wins and not a lot that weekend. My winning bid was $185 so our starting point would be around there for Copley...not sure about wharf...suggestions??? I have told them about your site which I gained all my knowledge from, but of course it's easier if I help.

Please use separate threads for each piece of this stay. We'll use this thread for your Copley 9/14-9/16 stay and your other priceline topic for the aquarium leg of the trip.

Rates for 9/14-9/16 are higher then the dates you won for and will likely take more than $185 to be successful... what is their maximum bid for this stay?

Also, while rates are fairly high across the board, i'd recommend your friend include as many zones that are acceptable (such as including Quincy Market if that would also work for their needs) to improve their chances.

Let us know regarding the maximum bid and if any other zones are acceptable, we'll take it from there.
