Looking for a 4* Pretty much ideally Soho / MTW / Chelsea

Used the PRICELINE link on the forum.

Tried Soho up to 155

Was going to try MTW / Chelsea - Historically is late Sept / Early Oct high in NYC?

Late September/early October and into about Mid-December is very busy and often quite expensive in NYC.

In terms of Soho, are you willing to be anywhere within the Downtown-Soho-Financial District area? Additionally, what would be your desired/maximum budget per night?

In which zone and for which set of dates, as i'm not seeing this when searching HOTWIRE for your dates. Are you still seeing this when doing your own HOTWIRE search?

I'm not seeing this, and Sunday nite is usually the least expensive nite of the week for hotels. I ran a few scenarios and if you're looking to drop one nite of this stay, i would sooner drop the first nite (so bid 9/29-10/3) rather than the last nite, if this would work for your plans.

I think a $200 bid improves your chances, but not sure if you're willing to bid that high or would sooner rather lower your star rating if not successful at $175.

Also, is there a reason you're avoiding MTE, TS and/or ESB from your bidding?

it looks like the HW went up to 220 now (Soho / Financial District)

Were not hard set on any one area.. just would prefer soho / financial district or chelsea

It looks like your right on the dates.. Thursday night seems a bit higher.. although sunday is not any cheaper according to what i am seeing.

I think this early i might top off at 175 pre tax as theres still almost a month and i typically have good luck down to the end. :)

There were quite a few zones mentioned above, and some alternate zones suggested... please clarify which zones (by PRICELINE name) you're willing to accept and we'll suggest a strategy for you to follow... and still at 4 stars, correct?

195 - SOHO

200 - SOHO,MTE

205 - SOHO,MTE,MTW

210 - SOHO,MTE,MTW,HK

215 - SOHO,MTE,MTW,MSG

Seems okay? Didn't see it on the PL list.. Looks to have gotten decent reviews and there website is at 334 a night.. :) Good Deal
