Was hoping for the Tarrytown House and conference center but ended up with the SHERATON TARRYTOWN.

Guess they bumped it up to a 4 star now

JUST A WORD TO THE WISE....HOTWIRE PLAY AROUND WITH THEIR STAR RATINGS CONSTANTLY ONE MINUTE A HOTEL MAY BE LISTED AS A 3 STAR THE NEXT DAY THE SAME HOTEL WILL APPEAR AS A 4 STAR. THE ALSO OVERATE THEIR HOTELS CALLING 3 STAR HOTELS 4 STARS.... SO BE WARE

Sorry to see you didn't receive the hotel you were hoping for, but the Tarrytown House has never been seen with this amenity combination so i don't think that property should have been a high candidate at the top of your list. Feel free to ask for help before your next opaque purchase.

What happened was the only 4 star hotel that was listed was the Tarrytown House in that area so I was pretty sure that would be the one. The Sheraton was listed their website as a 3.5 star hotel so there was no reason for me to believe that I would end up with the Sheraton. I called Hotwire and asked for the star rating for the Sheraton Tarrytown and they told me it was a 3.5 star hotel. I called back and asked to speak to the supervisor and she told me the hotel was recently upgraded to a 4 star...( a crock)

You want as much information to match as possible... not just the star rating, or one of the amenities, or some other piece of information. New hotels, and upgrades and downgrades, happen all the time.

I just booked this with HOTWIRE. It is the Sheraton with one king size bed. I called and requested two beds. They do allow pets and they do not keep a record of what rooms are pet friendly. That scares me because we have family members that are hightly allergic to certain dog hair and cats. I will be sure to post my review after my stay.
