missus_bossy Posted August 14, 2011 Report Posted August 14, 2011 I'm looking to book 2 rooms for 5 adults in downtown Montreal with 4*'s through hotwire. When I put in that info I get $155 per room per night but when I try each room separately I get $103 per room per night for 2 adults and $155 for the room with 3 adults. Why the big difference? Am I better off booking each room separately so at least one room will only cost $103? If I book each rooms separately, how likely will they be next to each other? Please also help me ID the hotel. It has the following amenities: fitness, pool, restaurant, business center, internet and spa.
AaronJB Posted August 14, 2011 Report Posted August 14, 2011 The additional person in the one room may be causing an extra person fee or this may be a different property. Are you seeing the same listing in the 4* downtown spot when searching for 2/2? Also, do you need 2 beds in each room?I wouldn't book the rooms separately - in terms of rooms next to one another, that cannot be guaranteed, but is something that can be requested with the hotel after purchase.Additionally, please provide your date/s of travel.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
missus_bossy Posted August 15, 2011 Author Report Posted August 15, 2011 They look like the same property whether I look for 2 rooms or 1 at a time and yes, I need 2 beds in each room. The travel date is 9/30/11 - 10/2/11.
thereuare Posted August 15, 2011 Report Posted August 15, 2011 1) please read your messages2) the price difference you're seeing is the result of double vs. triple occupancyIf you're willing to take a little risk you can book 2rooms/4adults/4children which should ensure 2 beds in each room and currently prices out at $113/nite. The risk is that you're booking the 5 occupant as a child, when in reality is an adult. Also, note that the second 'bed' could be a pullout sofabed, rollaway, etc. brought into the room. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know if you have any questions regarding the above, what you decide to do for this, or if we can be of further help. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
