Priceline Hotel: Help with NYC Oct 6-10?

New to this site, hoping to find a 3 star (or higher) hotel for less than $100 a night. Open to Brooklyn as a possibility, we are from NYC originally and don't need to stay in a touristy area. Would prefer a hotel near the subway.

Hello, the zones I'm interested in are Brooklyn and Downtown, SoHo, Financial district. I'm assuming those two zones are the cheapest? Location matters less than price for us. I would like 3* and up. What do you think would be a great rate for the Brooklyn Sheraton for that time of year? Thanks!

If price is the most important factor you shouldn't exclude zones that you think are too expensive, better to include them to get more bidding opportunities, and worst case scenario is that you get accepted in a zone you're willing to stay in at a much lower price then expected.

Is Hoboken (NJ) an option, as i think that may offer one of the best bang for your buck for these dates (you'd commute to Manhattan via PATH train, which runs 24/7 and is about 15 minute travel time to the city)

I've been watching the dates and just saw a 4.5* on HOTWIRE for $139 for Downtown/Financial District.

Looks to be W Hotel, best rate on the website is $312 plus tax.

Brooklyn area, 2.5*

Amenities are Fitness Center and High Speed Internet Access.

It's showing me a nightly rate of $101

Any help in narrowing down which hotel it is would be very appreciated!

The hotel is 3* in Brooklyn, rate it's giving me is $148

Any help in narrowing down which hotel it is would be very appreciated! Could it maybe be the Holiday Inn Express? If so, is that a good deal price-wise?

Please keep all posts for the smae stay in the same thread.

The 2.5* matches previous reports for the Comfort Inn (38th St) so that would be my best guess for this one.

For the 3*, the Best Western Arena Hotel has previously been seen with this amenity set, but at the 3.5* level, i'll speculate that it's been downgraded since last reported to the board and that would be my best guess here.
