My second ask for help haha...I'm actually trying to help a friend plan his bachelor party

Our preference is a 5* North Strip (Wynn, Palazzo, Venetian) or South Strip (Aria, Vdara, can't recall but i know there's another)

i understand that Priceline can't guarentee a 2 bed room, so a room for 2 people at under $150 would be great.

I understand how the rebid works (pick a zone that doesn't have a 5*) but I dont really know what hotels are what *s and what zones in Vegas, so if someone who has recently won one of those hotels could post the strategy + the zones they used, that would be great.

thanks a lot

Ok After a bit of research here is what I have formulated:

Select 5* Strip North...

Bid $85, if rejected add re-bid zone...Strip South

Bid $90, if rejected add re-bid zone...Boulder Strip 3* max

Bid $100, if rejected add re-bid zone...Fremont Vicinity 4* max

Bid $105, if rejected add re-bid zone...Henderson 3* max

Bid $110, if rejected add re-bid zone...Lake Las vegas 4* max

Bid $115, if rejected add re-bid zone...LAS 4* max

Bid $120, if rejected add re-bid zone...LV Convention Center 4* max

Bid $125, if rejected add re-bid zone...NW Las vegas 3.5* max

Bid $130, if rejected add re-bid zone...Near LV strip east 4* max

Bid $135, if rejected add re-bid zone... Near LV strip West 4* max

Bid $140, if rejected add re-bid zone... Nells LV Speedway 3*

Bid $145, if rejected add re-bid zone...Summerlin 3.5*

Bid $150

Does this look right?

Thanks

You are correct, but if I were doing it personally, I'd stay away from Summerlin. It has a Resort level. Resorts are supposed to be about 4 1/2*, so one could get them on an upgrade from a 4*, but not from a 5* (in theory). There are enough free rebid zones to play with that it isn't worth taking a chance, IMHO.

It is always a good idea to run through the check on free-rebids just before bidding. While they don't change often, they do change from time to time.

The very first post in this Priceline - Nevada area has a list of all hotels people have reported to this site as wins.

It also is a good idea to check the hotel web sites for specials before you start bidding. Then you know you won't end up bidding higher than you could have done with a direct purchase.

Have fun - Romelle

PS - you can check the Calendar of Wins (center of this page) from time to time to see what other bidders have reported for your dates.
