schur Posted May 30, 2005 Report Posted May 30, 2005 I have been trying to get the Hilton LAX and have been rather unsuccessful. I need it just for Monday night, June 27 and have tried three different offers. I have noticed that others where able to get it for right around 41, but I have been unable to get it even for $46. I was just wondering if I was doing something wrong or what is the deal?
thereuare Posted May 31, 2005 Report Posted May 31, 2005 Rates are much higher for this date than we usually see when this hotel accepts at the prices you bid.If you're open to other properties besides the Hilton let us know and we'll try to help. If you must have this property and book direct please use this HILTON link to do so. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
schur Posted June 3, 2005 Author Report Posted June 3, 2005 Do you have any ideas as to what it might cost to get the Hilton on that day?
schur Posted June 4, 2005 Author Report Posted June 4, 2005 After several attempts, starting at $40, I finally was able to get the Renaissance Montura Hotel at LAX with a bid of $65-total with tax and fees-$81.79. I have never stayed here before, but will definitely let you know what it is like. Thanks BetterBidding community for your help!
thereuare Posted June 4, 2005 Report Posted June 4, 2005 You can't bid for a specific hotel and we recommend that you DON'T BID HIGHER FOR A SPECIFIC HOTEL.(the above was posted before i saw your reply)Can you tell us what the highest rejected bid was immediately before your acceptance?Thanks... enjoy your stay.
