Hi,

I am looking for a room from 28Aug to 1sep, any location in Manhattan (not Brooklyn nor Long Island) will do, as long as the price is between USD100 to USD110, hotels stars 3 and above.

Is this possible? Any strategy? Thanks.

Cheers,

Hans

Hi,

Not sure is this a good news, i was looking for a room for four nights, but accidentally I got a room for one night ( i think i entered the date wrongly).

It's DoubleTree by Hilton at Midtown, bid at USD100. (How to record this is the calendar wins?)

Now, i have to look for a room from 29th aug to 1st sep.

Certainly a good rate... but unfortunately you may likely need to change hotels during this trip.

Can you please add a reply to this thread confirming the address of the Doubletree you received to make sure we get the zone and location correct. Also, what is the star rating of this Doubletree?

The address,

Doubletree By Hilton Metropolitan New York

569 Lexington Avenue

New York, NY 10022

212-752-7000

But I am not sure about the star, i chose 3, 3.5 and 4 in that search.

Yes, I don't wish to change my hotel everyday. But when I tried to extend a night in the same hotel, the price is USD220 on the next day. That's expensive.

Now, I have to continue to bid again ...

Cheers,

Hans

Thanks for the follow-up.

You likely received such a good deal on the solo nite above since it was a Sunday nite, which is usually the slowest nite of the week for hotels (many tourists are on their way home and business travelers haven't arrived yet)

Please start a NEW TOPIC for the remaining 3 nites of your stay, but since i already have it on my screen... what i believe to be the Ramada New Yorker or the Doubletree Chelsea is available for $157/nite... Holiday Inn 57th St for $176/nite.... Hotel Indigo for $201.

You can think/look into these and we'll continue the discussion in a newly created thread.

Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.

EDIT: we'll continue the discussion for the remaining nites in this PRICELINE NYC thread.
