Ssebro Posted August 10, 2011 Report Posted August 10, 2011 This was my first adventure with PRICELINE. I am not sure if this is a good deal or not? I first bid at $75.00 and was given a screen that said something to the effect of, "For one-time only you may rebid instantly if you bi $13 more"I tried researching what this meant on the boards but could not find anything. I decided to gamble and go for it and got the Westin. It wasn't my first choice for 4* downtown, but it's much cheaper than I would have paid anywhere else.
AaronJB Posted August 10, 2011 Report Posted August 10, 2011 Congrats on your success and Welcome to Betterbidding. :)Very good result for this Westin property. The "counter-offer" of $13 is not necessarily the price that is required for acceptance - the actual rate is often somewhere in-between the last bid and the counter-offer, but the counter-offer is PRICELINE's way of signaling a price of almost certain acceptance *right now.*Thank you for sharing your win and please use the site's PRICELINE or HOTWIRE links to start your purchases and searches.Enjoy your stay.
