Hotwire Hotel: 3.5* Daytona (Ormond Beach) Daytona Beach Resort and Conference Center

Did a search for Daytona Beach check in 10/1/11-10/3/11 for 2 adults and 2 kids 2 hotels caught my eye but need help identifying both

2* Ormond Beach Area--listed for $43, 80% recommended, 3.0 out of 5.0 on trip advisor

Beachfront

Pool

Restaurant

Laundry

HS Internet

Golf Nearby

Tennis Nearby

2.5* Central Pier Daytona Beach Area, listed for $50, 70% recommended, 3.5 out of 5.0 on tripadvisor

Beachfront

Was looking for something in this price range on the beach, if you have any other suggestions.

Unfortunately neither of these properties have been identified.

As an alternate, i would also look at the 3.5* in Ormond Beach with:

Beachfront, Ftiness, Pool, Laundry, Internet, Golf, Tennis

While this property has not yet been reported to the board either, it's $58 so only a little more than the 2* you're considering in this zone, but a big bump in star rating, a better TA reveiw at 4.0/5.0, and good ratings from previous HOTWIRE guests. This property does also have a resort fee which perhaps puts it out of your budget, but i mention it so you can take a look at i think it's a bit of a 'safer' bet then the other options above.

Thank you very much although the 3.5* does look inciting, I think with the adding resort fee it is a little more than I want to pay. We are staying at Disney for the week and want to spend a couple days on the ocean before we come home. I will keep looking for now but let you know if we decide on anything. We are not really set on 1 specific area just want to be on the ocean.

Ok so I decided to go with your recommendation after all here is what we ended up with:

Daytona Beach Resort and Conference Center

3.5* in Ormond Beach with:

Beachfront, Fitness, Pool, Laundry, Internet, Golf, Tennis

Looks very nice and the rooms all have kitchens.
