Priceline Hotel: 3.5* Annapolis Sept 21 - Sept 25

Well, I worked and worked at getting a deal but just didn't see it happening. There were only 3 hotels in the downtown area that were 3.5* hotels. I started at $90 and increased my bid daily until I was close to $140/night. I eventually included the non-downtown Annapolis area, bidding just a few dollars under retail. Still no joy... :)

I think the problem I'm up against is this particular weekend is kind of a convention weekend. Day by day I watched hotels no longer having vacancies during my days. I didn't want to risk it any longer, so just pulled the trigger.

The good news (2 pieces actually), is I got an adequate deal through Priceline on the hotel and then an offer for a rental car that was quite a bit better than the best rate I'd found elsewhere -- less than 2/3 the price.

And I of course did all of this through betterbidding.com's PRICELINE links. :)

So did you win something thru PRICELINE's "Name Your Own Price" or thru their retail section (where you know the name of the hotel before purchase)

Ahhh yes, good questions.

I wasn't getting anywhere with the "Name Your Own Price" feature so went through their retail section (hopefully you guys still get kudos for this).

I'll be staying at the Annapolis Sheraton and my rate is $119/night.

As I said, I used betterbidding's PRICELINE links to make this (and the car rental) transactions.
