Priceline Hotel: 3.5* Minneapolis-St.Paul (Minneapolis West) Doubletree Park Place

My goal was to get the DoubleTree (formerly Sheraton) on Normandale in Bloomington, MN.

8/12/11-8/13/11 (Friday night only)

Started with bid of $42 for 3.5* in the Bloomington region only. Rejected.

After 24 hours I did the same bid for $45. Rejected.

Re-bid by adding Minneapolis West region and increasing bid to $47. Rejected.

Re-bid by adding Airport region and increasing bid to $50. Rejected.

Re-bid by adding Eden Prairie region and increasing bid to $55. Accepted. I wonder if it would have been accepted just by adding Eden Prairie but sticking with $50?

Room Subtotal: $55.00

Taxes & Fees: $14.64

Total Charged to Card: $69.64

So we are still staying at a DoubleTree, just not the same one. That's great because we've stayed at the one on Normandale many times so I'm excited about trying a new property. Going by their website it looks like a nice place. Since it's somewhat close to downtown I was worried it might not have free parking, but now I see it does. Awesome.
