eas55 Posted August 7, 2011 Report Posted August 7, 2011 I am brand new to this site, but have read the information about re-bidding and *think* that I understand. I am trying to find a hotel room in Boston (we are very flexible on stars and location - will stay in Fenway, Harbor Front, Waterfront, Cambridge, Copley Square, or Quincy) for $90 or less per night. However, no matter what I try, I can't find anything, so I think I may be doing something wrong. Any tips?Star levels available (not sure if I am supposed to list highest or lowest for each area, so I am listing both):Boston - Harbor Front: 4* best deal - 2.5*Boston - Waterfront: 4* best deal - 3*Cambridge - all levels of star ratings are available (lists 3.5* as best deal)Copley Square - all levels of star ratings are available (lists 4* as best deal)Fenway - 1*Quincy Market - 4* (best deal) - 2*Any tips?

eas55 Posted August 8, 2011 Author Report Posted August 8, 2011 I started with 2 stars. I am not clear on the best way to start bidding I guess.
thereuare Posted August 8, 2011 Report Posted August 8, 2011 So you have bid 2* and included all acceptable zones up to your maximum bid of $90? If so, your options come down to:-wait it out and try again, hoping for lower priced inventory to be released-raise your maximum bid-include additional zonesWith the above noted, i'll also add that we typically don't recommend the lower star rated hotels in big cities as the quality can vary greatly.
