Priceline Hotel: 4* Las Vegas (Strip South) PH Towers Westgate

I am using the PRICELINE link (sorry wasn't able to figure out how to properly copy it here) to bid on a room for Las Vegas for September 17th and 18th. I check into a timeshare on the 19th so but I figure it was better to fly cheaper on Saturday and spend the $ on a hotel.

With that said, I started my bidding at $65 for 5 star in Las Vegas South. That was rejected. I added 4 Star and raised bid to $66 and that too was rejected.

Next day...I repeated nearly the same. Started at $66 5 Star South. Rejected. Added North. Raised bid to $69. Rejected. I added 4-star. Rejected.

Now I know I was going lower than I've seen some recent bids, but once I added 4 star I didn't want to raise to what I've seen 5 going for...so tonight I bid $70 on 5-Star South. Rejected, added North and went up to $80. Rejected, added 4 star. Still rejected.

Starting to wonder if there is a big event that weekend??? Also wondering if the Saturday night is the issue since Saturday rates are often double the Sunday rates when I check on hotel sites directly. So I thought hmmm perhaps I should bid for just Sunday night, then once it's accepter "add a night" to my stay...is that an option to add to either end of the stay?

Bid for Sunday, Sept 18th 4-star South at $50. Rejected with offer to raise to $64. I accepted and won PH Towers...which is where my timeshare stay is starting the 19th so that is a win-win situation. HOWEVER, when I tried to extend my stay back to the 17th I was rejected and was not offered a counter offer. The page said click here to see other rates available and I don't think I saw PH Towers listed at all. I did check a page listing Vegas conventions and nothing seemed HUGE or booked for hotels in the South area. My flight doesn't arrive in Vegas until 11 pm on Saturday so we may just get something very inexpensive close to the airport.

It's great news that you received the same hotel as you need for the balance of your stay, but sorry to you weren't able to get the Saturday nite too.
