Priceline Hotel: 3* Tacoma Courtyard

After many tries to get a SEA Airport hotel without success (3* up to $80 for 8/6/11 night), I finally got this Courtyard hotel 30 minutes from the airport at $65. As in the past and recommended by Priceline, I always call the hotel in advance to either inform them of my late arrival or needing two beds, I tried to do the same here. The female rep I spoke to at was not only not helpful, but condescending. First, she can't find my reservation because I booked through a "third party" (after 7 HOURS!); then she claimed that she couldn't make any note in Marriott's system when I told her of my pending late arrival (what kind of backward system does Marriott have? or just discriminatory towards Priceline customers?); then she read off the parking prices from their web page which I already knew. When I asked her about other parking alternatives, i.e., availabilities of street parking, she told me that she was in Ohio, and went on restated what's on the web. When I got a bit irritated that she couldn't be helpful at all, she went on lecturing me that it wouldn't help when I raise my voice (didn't matter, did it?). When I confronted her talking-down attitude (she "ma'am"-ed me every other seconds), she said "you perceived so", blah, blah, blah. Since she was not helpful and rude, I told her that that's all I needed and hung up. I couldn't believe this was the type of customer service from a Marriott hotel chain!! BTW, I am not a picky person and I am easily to work with, but I can definitely tell when a person was rude and not even trying to help. So upsetting and very disappointed, but certainly hope the hotel itself and its staff will be better than this.

...she told me that she was in Ohio...

Given that you called the hotel's direct line, and not the main reservation line, i'm not sure how your call got transferred to Ohio (unless maybe you went thru their voice message system and pressed a number on your keypad for reservations??). Regardless, you'll likely have better success with bedding requests and information about the immediate area if you're able to read the front desk directly.
