Total after taxes & fees = $346.44. Booked last night.

I started out at $90, and moved up in $5 increments. Starting at around $135, Priceline started offering to let me bid in the same session at $165/night. But I just closed the window, re-opened Priceline, and bid again. It rejected $145, but I decided I'd try $149 and Priceline accepted.

Overall I don't think this is a particularly great deal since a comparable package was available on Southwest if you book air and hotel together. I was already booking my airfare through Southwest, and had I booked the whole package, it was a $5 difference (SW package was $5 higher, which is why I decided that $149 would be the highest I would bid on Priceline, and it accepted). I sorta knew I was going to get Palazzo, which is why I was on the fence between bidding vs just using SW to book the whole thing.

I wish I bid earlier, checking the calendar it looks like there were cheaper rates in the same weekend, but overall this rate is still cheaper than booking directly through Palazzo. Looking forward to the trip, and using the $20 trick to see if I can get an even better deal!

Congratulations on your success!

Considering that 5* hotels in the North Strip have been a bit more difficult to get lately, i think this is a pretty good deal.
