Priceline Hotel: Bidding help requested - 9/12/11-9/16/11

We tried all the touristy districts up to $155 and down to 3*, but still no dice. We're not too picky on hotels or region, we'd be ok with the 4* on the Upper West Side too, and because we've had a hard time finding a place (and acknowledge that it's a busy season/week we're staying there) we can manage with either the long walk from the UN hotel or the small rooms in the Hudson. We even went as far south as Chelsea (including MSG/ESB) Is $155 just too low for this time? We have the possibility of going higher, but would prefer stay in this price range, because after taxes and fees it's really $190/night, even bidding $155.

As you're aware, this is an expensive time of year in the city, and your stay is for all midweek nites, whereas weekends are typically a little less expensive in NYC.

Exactly which zones and the highest bid amount have you made. Assuming you have the information/remember, please indicate as follows:

4* MTE, MTW, CPS, ESB up to $155

4* TS up to $165

3.5* MTE, MTW up to $145

etc, etc

We'll then have a better sense of what you've already tried and offer some suggestions.
