have not been able to find out much other than this is a retro type hotel

web rate was UK 130 ponds so looks like substantial savings

started at 60 - had counters at 110 and have been trying for 85 with no luck

Can you please clarify... your win states the Cumberland but you have both the Cumberland and the Thistel Marble Arch in your topic title. I did find a Cumberland Hotel, but does the Thistle Marble Arch also go by the name The Cumberland?

Also, what was the highest rejected bid you made in this zone before your $100 acceptance?

sorry copy and paste snafu

It should be The Cumberland only and after being rejected at 85 for 4's, I started a new bid at $80 for 5

and then after rejection changed to 4 and $100...also the free rebid Vauxhall area has disappeared from priceline

zones- so that's why I followed that stategy

I don't think this hotel has their own website (i couldn't find one)... that's retro in my book :)

This hotel is a little hard to find when searching on the net as it is a hotel that was originally a Le Meridien property (like the Hilton Waldorf) before they pretty much pulled out of the UK. There are lots of old links and references to the hotel.

It is designed in the Art & Tech style that Le Meridien were working on before the hotel was sold to the Guoman chain who have contracted out the day to day management to Thistle Hotels.
