jobean Posted August 2, 2011 Report Posted August 2, 2011 Bid 4* at $40, then $45, then $48, won at $50. Last month I stayed a few days at a 2* for $47 from Hotwire that was awful, hope this will be better.

jobean Posted August 6, 2011 Author Report Posted August 6, 2011 Any ideas on how to avoid the $17 parking fee?
jpap Posted August 8, 2011 Report Posted August 8, 2011 I've stayed there (Hyatt) and across the street at the Millennium many times and have never paid to park. Drive southwest about 2 blocks and there is usually street parking available near a liquor store and a school. I've parked on the street overnight for free probably 10 times in the past two years.
jobean Posted August 21, 2011 Author Report Posted August 21, 2011 I am following up on my stay here. When I arrived at the front desk I didn't have my confirmation handy, the front desk person checked on the computer and said that my reservation was for September. Luckily I was able to produce my confirmation so after she passed me to another person, eventually said they weren't full and had another room for me. Of course the hotel was pretty empty. It was a nice room with a king bed except the curtain rod was falling down, so I immediately called to report it so I wouldn't be charged for it. Be sure to have your paperwork for wins!
AaronJB Posted August 21, 2011 Report Posted August 21, 2011 Glad to hear everything worked out okay! Having the paperwork is rarely needed, but it is highly, highly recommended, because occasionally one runs into situations like this.
