Looking at flights from LAX to NYC. Have seen $314 ($345 after tax) to LGA. How low should I go with an offer? In the past my flights was at 11:30pm to NYC. Now it seems like the cheapest flights are in the AM on Sat? Are typical Sat flights to NYC in the morning? I am using both the Hotwire and PRICELINE links for my searches.

This is a common route and there are fights at all times of day.

Based upon the $314/$350 rate how much of a discount would you need to make an opaque airline ticket worthwhile? (given that you can't choose the flight times, layover city, layover length, etc)
