craigmb Posted August 1, 2011 Report Posted August 1, 2011 I'm trying to book one night in Bruges on Saturday, August 20th. Previous posts have mentioned successful bids at ~$100 for a 4 star hotel (I started at $90 several weeks ago). However, my most recent bid of $145 was rejected (4 star). Has anyone had recent success? I couldn't find any discussion of successful bids for a 3 star hotel in Bruges. Many thanks,Craig
ladybugsea Posted August 2, 2011 Report Posted August 2, 2011 If you are not successful, I highly recommend the following B&B. Modern, clean, great hosts, loved it here. http://www.bedandbreakfast-bruges.com/index.htmlhttp://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g1...t_Flanders.html
thereuare Posted August 2, 2011 Report Posted August 2, 2011 Welcome to BetterBidding! We don't see this area bid too often, but there have not been any reported wins to the board in summer months... do you know if this peak season for the area?I see both the Crowne Plaza and NH Brugge are ~$225 for this nite... what is your maximum bid for this stay? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. craigmb Posted August 2, 2011 Author Report Posted August 2, 2011 Hello ladybugsea,Thank you for you reply. I had previously attempted to book at your suggest B&B, but unfortunately they were full. craigmb Posted August 2, 2011 Author Report Posted August 2, 2011 My sense is that this is the peak season. For example, I know that most B&Bs will only take 2-night reservations during summer weekends. My budget was ~$140. I am paying $70 for a 4 star in Brussels and thus can't justify paying over 2-fold that rate for Bruges. I was also curious about a 3 star - the BetterBidding site does not list any 3 star hotels for Bruges. Thank you,Craig
