Priceline Hotel: help with Bruges

I'm trying to book one night in Bruges on Saturday, August 20th. Previous posts have mentioned successful bids at ~$100 for a 4 star hotel (I started at $90 several weeks ago). However, my most recent bid of $145 was rejected (4 star). Has anyone had recent success? I couldn't find any discussion of successful bids for a 3 star hotel in Bruges.

We don't see this area bid too often, but there have not been any reported wins to the board in summer months... do you know if this peak season for the area?

I see both the Crowne Plaza and NH Brugge are ~$225 for this nite... what is your maximum bid for this stay?

My sense is that this is the peak season. For example, I know that most B&Bs will only take 2-night reservations during summer weekends. My budget was ~$140. I am paying $70 for a 4 star in Brussels and thus can't justify paying over 2-fold that rate for Bruges. I was also curious about a 3 star - the BetterBidding site does not list any 3 star hotels for Bruges.

I know it can be psychologically difficult, but the cost of your stay in one region really has nothing to do with the other.

I was also curious about a 3 star - the BetterBidding site does not list any 3 star hotel for Bruges.

The Golden Tulip Hotel De medici would be at least one possibility.
