panham Posted August 1, 2011 Report Posted August 1, 2011 First time using this board and I'm already finding it VERY useful! Here's a question for ya...Planning a trip to Vegas this weekend (8/4-8/7, Thurs.-Sun) Ive been bidding on 3 1/2 star hotels on the south strip using Priceline and plugging in an $85 dollar a night stay...keeps getting denied. Ive tried raising the amount a couple dollars higher but still to no avail. Is this amount pointless? As in, will it never be accepted in that area? Or should I literally wait till the last minute, perhaps Wednesday or even Thursday, and might my chances of getting that offer accepted increase by doing so? Thanks for any advice!
AaronJB Posted August 1, 2011 Report Posted August 1, 2011 Welcome to Betterbidding. :)Please read the section on timing in the PRICELINE FAQ. At this point, you're already at just about the last minute, and it's doubtful that there will be much variation in rates from this point. What would be your desired budget per night for this stay?Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
