Nicole Danielle Posted July 31, 2011 Report Posted July 31, 2011 Just booked another night in Paris for the end of my trip. Not as great a deal as the first one, but I'm not complaining! The location is EXACTLY what I was going for. I was hoping to get a hotel close to Gare De Lyon as I'll be coming back into Paris through that station late that night, and then fly out the next day. 1 night, August 20th, 2011. The hotel I won was the Mercure Paris Gare De Lyon. Priceline is saying it is a 3*, however every other booking engine calls this a 4*. Here was my bidding strategy: Bastille-Bercy 4* - $80 - RejectedBastille-Bercy 3-4* - $90 - RejectedOpera West 4* - $90 - RejectedOpera East & West 4* - $95 - RejectedOpera East, West, Bastille - $100 - RejectedBastille 4* - $105- RejectedBastille 3-4* - $110 - ACCEPTED My price with taxes was $127. Best price for the same room I can find online (with tax) is $166. Hope this helps! (P.S. I used the PRICELINE links from the forum to book the room).
