dpetty Posted June 2, 2005 Report Posted June 2, 2005 Well I have been a past customer of Priceline and had good luck with them but last Saturday I bought 4 airline tickets (5/21) for a pending cruise myself, wife and son and step daughter were going to take. This is a second marriage for both of us and have only been married 2 1/2 months. Well my wife decided out of the blue she didn't want to be married anymore and moved out while I was at work Friday (5/27), no indication of a problem or advanced notice she was planning this (I filed for divorce today). I contacted Priceline's customer support to find out if I could get a refund since my soon to be ex wife took the cruise tickets with her and all they could tell me was NO. So after 3 e-mails they finally got back to me and said NO as well . I mean I am willing to pay a penlty for a cancellation but they refused to even listen, what recourse do I have? We are talking about 800 dollars and may not mean much to some but that is alot to just throw away. Any suggestions?
Guest aldo Posted June 2, 2005 Report Posted June 2, 2005 Very sorry to hear of your situation. Count your blessings. At least you found out what kind of person your soon-to-be ex-wife is before you invested any more into the marriage. Unfortunately, the no changes or cancellation policy is just the way Priceline works. They may be sympathetic, but have to abide by the rules. Good luck to you, dpetty. You're better off without her.
thereuare Posted June 2, 2005 Report Posted June 2, 2005 Call the cruise line about 'lost tickets' and take the cruise with your son. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
