Priceline Hotel: Pismo Beach-San Luis Obispo - July 21

I'm wondering if anybody knows what I can expect if I bid for a 2* hotel at Pismo Beach or San Luis Obispo. I am new to priceline, and I'm surprised that there is only options for 1* and 2* in these cities

I don't really see any major chains in this area and most of the hotels i do see are sub-3* properties. If you do go the opaque route i would highly recommend sticking with 2* and not trying for 1* properties.

This is one area where I would really want to choose the property and not rely on the throw of a dice. The cheapest 1 or 2 star properties on Hotwire are $71-$72...ouch!

In Pismo Beach, I've stayed at the Oxford Suites. It was quite charming, and I particularly remember the freshly made salsa as one of the free breakfast offerings. Rate for your date is $99.
