HappyBeaver
Used your PRICELINE link.Wanted to book a last minute trip to Toronto for the long weekend in Ontario.Bids: (4* hotel)added zone: ------------------- Bid: $zone 5 -- Downtown Toronto South -- $70zone 4 -- Downtown Toronto North -- $80zone 1 -- Brampton -- $90zone 2 -- Burlington - Oakville -- $105zone 3 -- Don Valley -- $116zone 9 -- Oakville - Mississauga -- $130zone 13 -- Toronto East -- $140zone 14 -- Toronto West -- $150 -- ****GAVE UP****For a 4 night stay that would have been over $600!!! I guess that's the price I pay for waiting until the last minute. But capitalism works both ways, so the price they pay is losing a sale since I just gave up this time.I'll go to Toronto another time, when the prices are within my budget. (or perhaps your from Toronto and this is your staycation)Either way, have a great weekend and thanks for using the PRICELINE links and for the the bid history, even though unsuccessful. HappyBeaver
Your board and Priceline have saved me lots of dollars in the past.I figured I would post the bid history so people get an idea of how fast prices can go up at the last minute. In the end it all worked out for me, since I'll be enjoying the weekend closer to home instead. Thanks again for the great message board! robteb
This is Caribana weekend here in Toronto, probably the busiest weekend of the year for our hotels. You probably wouldn't have done much better in advance! Hope you come visit another, less busy weekend! :) Link to comment
