For starters i'll remind that you're not bidding for a specific hotel... there is at least one other 3* hotel in the area.

Next, what is your check-in/check-out day (10/3-10/6?) as your first post indicates three nites but the one indicated two nites.

There is no harm in bidding now, but based upon prices that i'm currently seeing at the Hyatt i don't think you'll be successful with a 'reasonable' bid for Jersey City.

Were you looking towards Jersey City as a NYC substitute? What would you do if not successful in Jersey City at the 3* level? (look at NYC, look elsewhere in NJ, lower star rating, etc?)
