jrjcollins Posted July 27, 2011 Report Posted July 27, 2011 Got the Marriott New York Downtown, arriving Sept. 25, 2011 and leaving Oct. 3rd, 2011. For several weeks I had been bidding unsuccessfully for 10 nights, arriving Sept. 23rd, bidding up to $200 a night. Today I decided to split the bid and got the Marriott by changing the arrival date to Sept. 25th. I got the $185 on my first bid, so maybe I should have started lower. They offered to let us arrive Sept. 23rd, but the additional two nights would be $379 a night, which we declined. Our plan now is to start over and make another bid for the two nights we don't have.
