bahiapuller Posted July 26, 2011 Report Posted July 26, 2011 July 25-26 2011Hotwire 3* South Baton RougePool, breakfast, gym, internet, business center, no smoking$70 -- total of $84.72La Quinta Inn Denham Springsbooked for 2 adults and 2 childrenhotel check in 1pmWe went to Baton Rouge from Alabama to go to the Blue Bayou water park and it was raining. Called the Hotel to see if we could check in early at 12:30 pm.La Quinta informed me that Hotwire booked out family of 4 with a single KING bed and they could not change the reservation.I called Hotwire and they called the Hotel while I was on hold. They then told me that they would have to cancel my reservation, but they could not refund me and I would have to book another hotel. I told them I would just like to be refunded but if I can't then I wanted a 3* hotel in South Baton Rouge and they said they could get me one for $94.71 and they had to charge my card and refund the difference later.They booked me AGAIN into the La Quinta Denham Springs and I told them that this was the hotel that they booked our family into a single KING. When I questioned them on whether or not we will have two beds and the agent became confused and had to speak to a supervisor. When he came back on, he said they would refund both charges of $84.72 and $94.71, but it may take several days.WE got a room on our own at Courtyard by Marriott Segen Lane with a Blue Bayou park rate of $89/ night and I do not think I will use Hotwire again.Lets see if my refunds get screwed up.
