thereuare Posted July 26, 2011 Report Posted July 26, 2011 Welcome back :)So we don't suggest a strategy that goes higher then you're willing to spend, what is your maximum bid for this stay? Are TS and MTE the only zones you're willing to accept... do CPS, MTW and/or ESB not work for your plans? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
Sunny-Singh Posted July 26, 2011 Author Report Posted July 26, 2011 Thanks ThereuareHaving discussed this with my Mrs i think we are sure we want to remain only in TS or MTEWe were thinking of going to $200 per night for our stayThanksSunny
thereuare Posted July 27, 2011 Report Posted July 27, 2011 At the 4* level you have FIVE re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.Select 4* MTE...Bid $140, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $150, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $155, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $160, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $165, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $170, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINESelect 4* TS...Bid $140, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $150, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $155, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $160, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $165, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $170, if rejected close browser and use this link to re-access PRICELINESelect 4* MTE and TS...Bid $175, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $180, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $185, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $190, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $195, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $200Any questions feel free to ask. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Good luck and let us know how it goes. Sunny-Singh Posted July 27, 2011 Author Report Posted July 27, 2011 Hi Thereuare,Thanks for the above strategyI just want to reconfirm that my bidding zones are the follow before bidding - Coney Island, Long Island City, Madison Square - Convention Area, Queensborough Bridge and Upper East Zone
Sunny-Singh Posted July 27, 2011 Author Report Posted July 27, 2011 Just tried bidding but keep getting this message - i'm guessing they have issues with their website currentlyServer error.Looks like we hit a speed bump on the road to deals. Don't worry - we'll get this fixed soon.
thereuare Posted July 28, 2011 Report Posted July 28, 2011 Yes, at the 4* level you have your current re-bid zones correct (you should check them again, and every time, just before bidding. Thanks for using the PRICELINE links on the board to begin your bidding. One the server issues are resolved let us know how it went or if you have any additional questions along the way.Good luck! Sunny-Singh Posted July 28, 2011 Author Report Posted July 28, 2011 I keep getting this server error issue even now? I am trying a day later
Sunny-Singh Posted July 28, 2011 Author Report Posted July 28, 2011 Hi Thereuare,Kept getting this message after i bidded so thought my bid hadn't gone through, about 20 minutes later though i got an email saying my bid had been unsuccesful. I logged back into priceline and my profile had my bid logged with the 'x' for unsuccessful. I then proceeded with the strategy you gave but kept getting the 'error message' when submitting the bid. However everytime i checked my profile it was stating that the bid had gone through.I went through the whole strategy upto $200 and was unsuccessful
thereuare Posted July 29, 2011 Report Posted July 29, 2011 Hard to say if your bids were placed or not.. given your stay is still a month away, i would wait 24 hours and try again. If you receive the message again after the first bid report back here (don't make any additional bids) and we'll take it from there. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Sunny-Singh Posted July 30, 2011 Author Report Posted July 30, 2011 Hi Thereuare,I keep getting the same message - i only bidded once like you suggested at $140 for 4* at MTEI don't know why i keep getting these messages as looking at other posts no one is reporting themIs it something to do with my address? I put in my real address and in town put London. I then choose California from the drop down menu and use 99999 as my post code
Sunny-Singh Posted August 12, 2011 Author Report Posted August 12, 2011 Hi Thereuare, Just had a quick look on hot Wire and can get a TS Theatre District hotel 4* for
AaronJB Posted August 12, 2011 Report Posted August 12, 2011 This would be a possible match for the Crowne Plaza TS, Millennium Broadway, Hilton Times Square or Intercontinental TS. I'd lean towards the first three being a more likely possibility.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
