rgerard1967 Posted July 25, 2011 Report Posted July 25, 2011 Bidding on a 3.5 to 4* in mte/mtw/ts on pricline. Tried 155 to 160 per night with no success. Added empire and msg, still no success. Any suggestions? Should i drop to a 3*? Should i add downtown/financial? Thanks

thereuare Posted July 26, 2011 Report Posted July 26, 2011 HOTWIRE has what i'm guessing to be the Doubletree Chelsea and the Holiday Inn Express MSG, each for ~$165/nite. These are both 3* rated on PRICELINE, but are two of the better rated hotels in the area (each with a 4.0/5.0 Tripadvisor rating... the Holiday Inn Express including breakfast in the rate).Would you want to stretch your budget a little to ensure a decently reviewed 3* property (no guarantees either of the above are the ones i'm guessing, but for each HOTWIRE shows good percentage recommendations from previous HOTWIRE guests and 4.0 TA ratings for each)... try for a lower price on PRICELINE but not have any way to target one of the better properties in the area... or try for a higher rated hotel and include stay Downtown? What are your thoughts? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
