I was looking for a good 3.5* and originally shooting for the Doubletree or Embassy Suites (and hoping I didn't get the Rosen Plaza.) I was very happy to get the bump up to a 4* for roughly the same price as the recent 3.5* bookings.

Using tips and PRICELINE link found here, I started bidding for a 3.5* at $40 and worked my way up in $2 and $1 increments. I ignored the +$15 re-bid offers which started kicking in at $48.
