Do you mind sharing the strategy you used? I'm interested in booking right before your dates (3rd to 7th of October) but have had no luck on Priceline so far.

I had been looking in the mid-town east area and starting at $199, three days later $210 with no success. Read these boards and watched HOTWIRE's pricing. Was hoping for the Barclay. Bid $220 entering areas 2, 10, and 11, got a success. Not sure after reading this it will help, but good luck.
